A hot lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the beautiful fellowship hall of the Community Church of Keyport on Warren Street (between Division and Osborn Streets). We are hoping to expand our services by serving lunch five days a week in the near future. Stay tuned!
A nurse from the VNA visits the Lunch Program every Friday at 11:30 a.m. to check blood pressure, give out information on health screenings, and answer health-related questions from our guests. A social worker from Monmouth County Social Services also visits weekly to help people fill out applications for Food Stamps and to answer questions about Medicare and Medicaid.
In addition, representatives from New Jersey Hope and Healing are on hand about once a week to help people manage the emotional consequences of going through Hurricane Sandy. A representative from the Bayshore Family Success Center also visits at times. This organization provides individuals and families in the Bayshore area with resources and support and enriches the lives of children and parents by making families and neighborhoods stronger. We are pleased to have both of these organizations available to offer their services to our guests.
